So I got a call from daycare today and it wasn't to tell me one of the girls was sick. It was a call from Maggie's teacher to tell me how horribly she was acting. Ok she didn't really say that, she just told me that at one point Maggie said
"I don't have to listen to you. I only have to listen to my mommy and daddy!"
which would be fine in some respects if she actually DID listen to us.
So basically Maggie's level of disrespect towards her teacher has reached new levels. It just leaves me at a loss as to what to do.
I've actually pulled out a few books I bought when Maggie was 2 - should have read them then - all about how to raise a strong willed child.
This whole day just makes me tired
and sad.
I have the problem child at school - who would have thunk it?

She's just testing the waters! I can't believe they called you to tell you that, though!
Keep practicing at home...when we ask the girls who the boss is, they say "mommy and daddy...and our teachers!"
